Русский: Пятигорск (Ставропольский край), герб 1971 года (утверждён решением исполнительного комитета Пятигорского городского Совета народных депутатов от 12 августа 1971 года № 413):

Герб имеет форму геральдического щита. Он увенчан крепостной стеной — символом основания Пятигорска как одного из укрепленных форпостов России на Кавказе. Щит разбит на три цветных поля: одно горизонтальное, золотое и два вертикальных, красное и синее. Золотое поле — символ изобилия Кавказа и щедрости его солнца. На этом поле — силуэт горы Бештау (пять гор), от названия которой получил имя Пятигорск. Красное поле символизирует героику революционной борьбы на Пятигорье. Синее поле — символ красоты Пятигорья, опоэтизированной в литературе и живописи. На красном и синем полях — золотые ключи, источающие лечебную воду. Это — символ главного богатства Пятигорья, его животворных лечебных ресурсов. В нижней части щита — контур горы Машук — „главной кладовой“ гидроминеральных сокровищ Пятигорска
