English: Coat of arms of Aakirkeby, a chartered town in Denmark. Illustration from the article Om danske By- og Herredsvaaben written by Anders Thiset and published in Tidsskrift for Kunstindustri 1893-1894. Note: Anders Thiset informs in a subsequent part of the article that the image is slightly incorrect. The serpent should have been shown rising from the chalice held by Saint John.
