English: Barton Moor The name Moor relates to the fen-like flat area to the south of Nottingham, which would have originally been too wet to cultivate. It is now rich arable land. This picture from 1977 shows the now discontinued practice of burning excess stubble in the Autumn. The bus provides the main service between Nottingham and Loughborough.
