- Bija 600 km gara cilvēku ķēde, kas ir vairākkārt dokumentēts. Tādēļ arī šāds ieraksts UNESCO's Memory of the World Register (2009): The Baltic Way - Human Chain Linking Three States in their Drive for Freedom (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania): Documents recording the 600 km long human chain formed in the three Baltic States on 23 August 1989 to mark the 50th anniversary of the German-Soviet pact of non-aggression of 1939 and its secret protocol. It's not an evidence[labot pirmkodu]
- In the quotation you wrote, there is nothing said that the chain was continuous. Neither the length, nor the event the chain was dedicated to, nor even the inclusion in the UNESCO's Memory of the World Register itself proves the continuity of the chain. On the other hand, there is a number of evidences of that the chain was "nearly continuous", "almost continuous" etc. In fact, even these statements are sugar-coating of reality. - Almost continuous means not continuous (the same as "almost killed" does not means "killed"). Your witnesses have proved it enough. In addition, "almost" is a loose concept. For someones, "half empty" already means "almost empty". Moreover, the vast majority of witnesses were in the cities and big towns, where there were almost no breakings in the chain, rather than in the rural area, far from settlements. Мартин Мягер (talk)

- Atceros, ka dažās vietās ķēdi, kurai laukos pietrūka cilvēku, savienoja rokās turēta virve. Starp citu - kāds varētu parēķināt, kā pat pie visur vienāda izvietojuma 2 miljoni cilvēku saspiedās 600 kilometros. Sanāk ap 30 centimetriem uz cilvēku. - Gribētāji, starp citu, šādas virves situācijas var viegli atrast gan uzņemtajos video, gan fotogrāfijās. Piemēram, šeit https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lvKEyJOit40 , kad mašīna brauc garām dažu bērnu veidotam posmam 24:18, redzams, ka starp bērniem un nākamo sievieti pāris metrus aizvieto lenta - reizēm par virvi Latvijā tika izmantota Lielvārdes josta.
